OrtopadUSA.com is pleased to announce the addition of Ronald J. Biernacki, CO, COMT, as our "Ask an Orthoptist™" consultant!

Ron has been very active in the field of Orthoptics following his graduation from New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in 1986. He is a Certified Orthoptist as well as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.

He is currently an assistant professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and the Director of the Orthoptic Program at Vanderbilt Eye Institute. He has trained 17 Orthoptists, authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has been a featured speaker at many regional, national and international meetings.

Ron has held a number of positions with the American Association of Certified Orthoptists and has served on the board of the American Orthoptic Journal. He is the recipient of a number of professional awards in the field of Orthoptics.
